SproutLoud’s new colocation facilities are also SAS 70 Type 2 certified, which results from an audit of colocation center infrastructure and operational controls to assess compliance. Additionally the facility complies with Requirement 9 of the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, which requires specific restrictions on physical access to consumer credit card information.
The SAS 70 certification also assists companies that must comply with Sarbanes–Oxley legislation related to internal data controls. The SAS 70 report addresses all five components of internal control outlined in the Sarbanes–Oxley legislation, including the control environment, risk assessment activities, control activities, information and communication systems, and monitoring activities.
