SproutLoud Acquires Synergy Brand Management and Augments Local Marketing Systems

Last month, SproutLoud announced that we were acquiring Synergy Brand Management based in Boca Raton. We are all very excited about this opportunity, and so I wanted to provide some background on why.

Synergy has been solely focused on local store marketing for franchise systems. Over the past three years, SproutLoud made a commitment to the IFA by helping franchise companies support and empower their franchisees with local marketing services in a franchise marketing platform. We've been fortunate to add some great franchise clients over the past year, and with Synergy, we now add additional great systems like Menchies Frozen Yogurt, Lenny's Sub Shop and WingZone. We are now on our way to approaching 100 brands on our platform with a network of hundreds of thousands of local marketers - a major feat for our company.

Clearly, with the addition of Synergy and the team, SproutLoud is now much more knowledgeable on the franchise space. At the same time, SproutLoud will bring new digital capabilities including social media, local search, PPC and e-mail marketing to Synergy clients - making the scope of marketing services available to each franchise all the more comprehensive, turnkey and results-driven.

Our deep domain knowledge in franchise local marketing automation compliments other channel systems we've supported over the past 5 years - VARs, affiliates, retail channels, employees, field sales forces, etc. The the truth of the matter is that even though these channels operate differently with subtle nuances, the fundamental challenges a brand suffers in bringing their national marketing plan down to the local level is one-in-the-same.

Over the next several months, Synergy clients will transition to the SproutLoud platform. We are all extremely excited at SproutLoud to have the opportunity to join forces with Synergy.

Prior to SproutLoud, Jared worked in Thomas Weisel Partner’s internet and online advertising investment banking practice in San Francisco. He served as the lead analyst on a number of Corporate Finance and M&A deals including Newscorps’ buyout of Intermix Media (Myspace.com). Jared graduated with a B.A. in Finance and Marketing from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia. Jared has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University and is a member of the Young President's Organization (YPO).
