We’re excited to be exhibiting at this year’s BIA/Kelsey NATIONAL event happening March 25-27 in Dallas. The conference is jam-packed with information on how national brands can effectively reach consumers locally. Looking for some things to do during your down time? We’ve got you covered! Here are our picks.
Uptown Dallas has everything you need to relax and unwind after the conference. Among its best features are two -- yes, two! -- shopping districts and over 100 restaurants. One restaurant that you have to visit is Sambuca, which boasts a diverse menu and live music every Thursday, Friday, and Saturday night. If you prefer a quieter atmosphere, Place at Perry’s is a steakhouse that promises a warm, upscale ambiance. No matter what you like to do for fun, Uptown Dallas has something for you.
Lone Star Park
Lone Star Park is one of the most well-known entertainment venues in Dallas. While it’s most famous for its horse races, Lone Star Park has a few restaurants where you can hang out with new colleagues you met at the conference. One of these is Bar & Book, where you have your choice of sports bar seats, lounge seats, or carrel seats. You can even play with the World Poker Tour Amateur Poker League (for free!) on Thursdays at 8 p.m.
Word on the street is Pecan Lodge has the most mind-blowing barbecue in the city. They make as much as they can from scratch, including their southern fried chicken and Aunt Polly’s banana pudding. The shining star of the menu is the Hot Mess, which is a jumbo sea salt-crusted sweet potato topped with South Texas barbacoa, chipotle cream, cheese, butter, and green onions. The Lodge will be hosting a brisket and wine tasting on March 26, which is a great way to have fun after the conference winds down for the day. It’s also open until 10 p.m. on Friday, and what better way to end a trip in Dallas than with some world-class barbecue?
We look forward to seeing you at the conference. Come find us in booth #5!
